To bridge the AI gap by creating tools that address the real needs of low-income communities, empowering them with inclusive, responsible, and sustainable AI for education, healthcare, agriculture, and beyond.

Purpose

  • Bridge the digital divide by providing AI-focused education, training, and research opportunities for underserved communities.

  • Support governments, NGOs, and private institutions in developing countries in responsibly integrating AI solutions into critical sectors.

  • Foster innovation ecosystems that enable local talent to co-create AI tools addressing regional challenges.

  • Advocate for ethical, rights-based, and inclusive AI policies that prioritize vulnerable and marginalized populations.

Goals

  1. Educational Advancement: To expand access to AI literacy, skill-building programs for students, professionals, and policymakers in underserved and marginalized communities.

  2. Scientific Innovation: Support the design, testing, and adoption of AI tools that improve outcomes in healthcare, agriculture, public health, climate resilience, and governance.

  3. Social Equity: Ensure AI benefits reach marginalized groups—including women, youth, and rural populations—reducing inequality in access to technology and opportunities.

  4. Policy & Advocacy: Partner with governments and stakeholders to create regulatory frameworks and policies that enable safe, ethical, and sustainable AI adoption.

  5. Global Collaboration: Build partnerships with international organizations, research institutions, and the private sector to mobilize resources, share knowledge, and scale impactful AI initiatives.

Objectives

  • To deliver training programs, conferences, seminars, workshops, knowledge sharing platforms and fellowships reaching at least 10,000 students and professionals across low-income communities in AI fundamentals, ethics, and applied technologies within the next five years.

  • Establish at least regional AI Innovation Hubs to incubate community-driven projects that solve local development challenges.​

  • Launch collaborative research programs exploring AI applications in healthcare, agriculture, and climate resilience, with evidence-based impact reports. 

  • To conduct and publish peer-reviewed research on AI applications for healthcare, agriculture, education, and climate adaptation.

  • Develop toolkits and frameworks to assist policymakers in low- and middle-income countries with AI policy design and governance.

  • Provide grants, fellowships, and mentorship programs to nurture students, young innovators and researchers from developing regions.
